This first aid training course is our most popular and recommended course for high-risk workplaces. This first aid course includes all the material from our Essential First Aid course and covers more advanced topics such as work-related injuries, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and treating head and spinal injuries.
This 12-hour workplace first aid course covers the important requirements to administer first aid in the workplace. Throughout this first aid course, you’ll learn everything in our Essential First Aid course plus you’ll gain practical skills and knowledge to confidently perform first aid when an emergency or accident may occur. These additional skills include work-related injuries and illnesses, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), treating head and spinal injuries, going through trauma and medical scenarios, where you’ll practice administering first aid to more than one person. This first aid course allows you to acquire the following NZQA Unit Standards: 6402, 6401 and 6400.
